New resource for local job hunters and employers

Radio Basingstoke will be launched at 1pm on Wednesday 1st May 2008, bringing community radio to Basingstoke and north Hampshire.

Part of our community commitment is to offer a new resource to local job hunters. Our weekly recruitment programme, scheduled for broadcast in three time slots every week, will announce details of current vacancies notified to us by e-mail at:recruitment@radiobasingstoke.com

These vacancies will also appear on our web page pending conclusion of discussion with potential sponsors for a new purpose-built website to be displayed at www.amazingstoke.co.uk

Maintenance Supervisor

A Maintenance Supervisor is required to manage a small team of employees and subcontractors on site. You will take responsibility for all planned and reactive maintenance on site by managing the appropriate systems. You activities will include producing specifications for project work through to completion, ensuring all statutory testing is carried out and supporting the Facilities Manager with project management. You will also monitor costs on an ongoing basis for materials and will be required to cover for the Facilities Manager during periods of sickness and holiday.

In order to be successful you will have a strong M&E background with previous experience preferably in a facilities maintenance environment and you will have a 16th Edition electrical qualification. You will also have a good understanding of air systems, standby generators, water systems and statutory testing. Previous experience in maintenance supervision is essential,
